It seems the travel industry is asking the Biden administration for it as several countries are having discussions about reopening their borders. Canada, as an example, is considering the passport as one additional method to try to contain the spread of Covid. I would be glad to get one if it means reopening the border for me and all the other US fishermen wanting to make the trip North.
Northwest Ontario doesn't have the medical facilities to deal with a large outbreak of Covid. As much as I want to go fishing in Canada, I understand their reluctance to reopen without some restrictions. Read Mannlichers post ..... then re-asses this dumbfuckery

all this crap is driven by the myth that covid is deadly. It's just more government panic porn, and the sheep are more than willing to buy into it. Death rate for Covid in America is about .001 of the entire population. Even that number has been manipulated, and the real IFR is probably more like .0002, Obesity deaths are nearly the same as the claimed 'rona deaths, and no one is saying we need a BMI passport. None of anything we've seen in the last year is about COVID. It's just the convenient crisis they've been waiting for to give them cover.
Progressives are the most open minded, tolerant, and inclusive people on the planet, as long as you agree with everything they say, and do exactly as you're told.

Putting aside the issues noted above, vaccination doesn’t mean you can’t get it or spread it. Really, it would only mean papered individuals are not likely to get real sick or die. Of course, with the evolving variants, this may not even be true. Makes the cynic in me really question the motives.....

This is not new, it's been in the making, driven by the medial community for years. HIPPA will prevent the USA requiring it unless you are choosing to do something, then it's on you. Travel is one such possible thing, international all bets are off as HIPPA is a USA thing.
Open standards have been in the making for years, I have been tangentially connected via work. Originally it was an easy way to share your medical records across any number of documents, it's a self-controlled system (one last "how" item is where it's physically stored, but it's not the government). It's an agreed to open, standard API (or access method). You control pushing your records there, or giving your doctor the ok to push, and then other doctors the ok to see them. Allows instant (in theory) access to your medical history to any doctor you go see.
This is just a highly visible means to push for it. The government is out of it really, it has to be driven by technology, that's what's happening. You will very soon see the likes of amazon say "hey we can host the data". A non-technical gotcha in it all is cost. Who pays?
For now you get a CDC card when you get vaccinated, it has your name/birthday, date and batch of what vaccine you got.

How do you feel about a Vaccine Passport??? This is likely just like the driver's license. It became mandatory for travel and people accepted it. Police and courts enforce it and make big $ by going against God's laws. They have proven daily that they will do likewise with this Covid Pass. Then we are very close to more fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Of course, there's plenty of guy's who will call me crazy and even want to kill me over this, just as they did the Lord who warned us.

The elephant in the room is that you'll be forced to take the "vaccine." The rest is redundant. "They" already have all of your information.
At best, being forced to take a subsidized "vaccine" that basically has none of the effects and benefits of traditional vaccines and has to be re-taken every few months is a monumental profit machine for the pharmaceutical companies at taxpayer expense. At worst . . .
