I'll let Steve1, my hunting partner relate the details but we both killed buffalo. He refered to the trip as "Mocassin Joe & Steve1 Excellent Adventure" an I agreed. Nothing more could have been asked of the safari company or events. Everything from dealing with lions, mamba, elephants and wounded buff in the tall grass. Great trip!!

Oh yes we tested those cast .458 bullets at 45-70 speeds an I'll let him post those results as well.

We hunted with Dingwall Safaris owned by Don Bower.Gary Hopkins is involved somehow..I believe some sort of partnership and the actual running of operations.
Our PH was Mohamed Charles Horsley and no one could have asked for better.
We wanted real Africa wild an as much like old Africa as possible. We had that an more in L1.
Another hunter in camp on a 21 day ticket killed a beautiful male lion not more than 1/2 mile out of camp. He also had his dugga boy and hippo along with several heads of PG when we left. He was only there 9 days total when we drove to the air strip to start for home. I'm sure he'll have his croc as we watched a 14' and a 15-16' daily sunning in the shallows of the Luhembero from the dinning area. We also spotted shotable bull elephants no more than 1 mile from camp but neither Steve or I wanted had a 21 day lis.
FTR the TZ trophy fee increases stand as I type this and the companies have it in the courts.

ok about pictures. I just got home from the photo shop and had my digital card printed to stills and burned onto a CD. How hard is it to post pictures here? I'll not post a picture of myself with any animal on the internet but have no problem posting a picture of the bull. Will also take the liberty to post Steve1 with his bull.
Mine went 41" and his 37"

get a free photobucket account.
upload the pics to it from your computer.
on the pic you want to post from photobucket click the URL box once (it'll say "copied" in a yellow message box)
go to the 'fire and hit the "reply" button on the thread.
the second box (?) from the left is the pic link box. click it. a dialog box will appear. right clight in the text line space and "paste" the copied link. this will put
[img]www.photobucket.name of image[img]
in the reply text area. preview post and write any comments desired.

other way is to send them to someone you trust and have them upload them for you....

Or just copy the bottom line under the image in Photobucket, and paste it into the reply where-ever you want it. The line you want will start and end [IMG].

I'll look into photobucket later today. Right now my lawn grass in nearly knee deep. Keep an eye on the forum for a thread titled something such as " L1 Selous pictures" MJ
