Do you mean the giant old telescope with the external adjustment mounts? They show up on ebay once in a while.

It's the 6-24 and the Kuharsky mount is like the Unertl external-adjust type. I have never seen the mounts for sale, either alone or with a scope. I haven't been searching non stop, but still...

The other Balvars are completely different. The 6-24-40 is like the old Unertls, but it had an odd rear mount. Kuharsky made a mount like the Unertls; knobs with click adjustments.

I really need the combo. I bought the scope years ago, but could never find the mounts, either alone or with a scope. I'll keep you in mind if the mounts turn up for sale.

I did not find one. I got lots of offers for something different, but the 6-24 plus Kuharsky mount has eluded me.

I have the 2.5 to 8 power Bausch & Lomb in the Kuharsky Bros mounts from Erie Pa. The mounts have the adjustments on the side and function well. If you are interested I would like to sell the scope with the mounts, the scope is no good to me without the mounts I can text picture s if you want.

hi there, do you still have this scope mentioned above? I'm only looking for the scope ring mounts, but would take the whole combo for a decent price. It's going on a pre 64 model 70 that the mount seems to have gotten out of wack somehow. I am not able to message you for some reason but if you wanted to send me an email at keeganchristian33 gmail.com . That would be awesome. Thank you.

I have 3 of them. Great scope and nothing wrong w/the B&L mounts. The Kuharsky mounts have threading in the rear mount that is easily screwed up. I had to rebuild mine with Heli-coils to fix it. The best way is to get a Unertl mount for about $3-400 if you can't handle the B&L mount. I prefer the 2" Unertl scope as shown here on some of my M70 target rifles.

FWIW- it looks like Kuharsky did not make an external adjust scope mount for the 6-24x40 Balvar. I must have gotten details mixed up from things I was told 20+ years ago.

You were told right. I have them on another 2" Unertl and they are inferior to the Unertl mounts as the aluminum rear ring is tapped to carry the adjusting knob. Steel male thread running in aluminum female ones is not good. I put in heli-coils to fix it. Inferior to the Unertl or B&L mount. Model 70 300 H&H with B&L 6-24
