Anyone have one of these four older saws sitting unused? Could really use one if you could part with it. Only need powerhead. Thanks

Spend some money.

500i.

If it's what it's bragged up to be, and it doesn't fall apart,
you'll love it.

Wouldn't put my money on one for a couple years.
And not just because I prefer Swedes.

I’ve got a 440 and I’ll never let it go. It’s a cutting beast! It’s also the most trouble free saw that I own.

Dillon, no need for a 500i, I have a 660 with 36 inch bar. Anyways, only needing a cheaper, used powerhead to lock into my chainsaw winch, so I don't have to keep switching the 660 powerhead from sawmill to winch.

500i is the future.
When it's fully developed, if they don't build "planned failure" into it.

There are reasons the 44 Stihl and x71 or 72 series Huskies are
special. The 500 could eclipse them.

Never understood why the Dollar 7900 didn't take off.
Fanboy stupid is the only logical reason.

A lot of shops have saw grave yards...
Have you tried that?
I found an aftermarket rebuild kit that saved me having to replace the crank shaft....

Never saw one of those winches work, pretty cool idea.
But what for? Where do you use it?

All set folks, got into a jonsered 2162 (husq 372)

Plastic oiler worm gears running 12000 rpms in the cold never hold up on any Husqvarna here in Alaska. They strip out if the bar oil is not thinned. So this powerhead wont see wood, only winching. Darn shame, as the husq 372 powerheads are smooth as silk and start with a 3 inch pull on the starter rope.

Are you using it with a Lewis Chainsaw winch?...I use a 461 on my Lewis.

If you're blowing out your oilers why dont you just use lighter oil?..curious.
