Couldn’t resist obtaining a (2007) Beeman R1 .22 today. It popped up for sale and appeared to be like new in the ad. Well,.. it IS like new and used so little the safety was still ‘stuck’ as Weyrauch auto safety’s are prone to do with non use, and age of any lubricant around it. It started functioning properly after a half dozen shots off my back deck. I think I’ve owned almost every R model Beeman has imported including a previous R1. Guess I just wanted to play with one again!
I’ve had R1,6,7,8,9,and an 10, multiples of some.
Sometimes you just want to revisit a favorite! If I had time I would turn a Delrin fitted spring guide and custom spring & seal. Maybe after I finish breaking in this new/old R1.
