Gun prices are unbelievable. A single shot 22 is $200 plus. Unbelievable. Stop helping the Democrats make gun ownership harder.

Due to the increased price of ammo, don't expect a warning shot...

What do you suggest, people stop buying guns?

Most guns seem to have remained rather reasonable, especially in comparison to ammunition and components.

If prices get high enough I have a Ruger Mini 30 Stainless/Synthetic and a match grade Garand I will turn loose of. They never get used and I don't have anyone in the family wanting them.

Sorry, I don’t see the connection. First, $200 is chicken feed for a durable goods item like a gun. Second, we should support the industry by buying. Not everyone is scalping. Find those who aren’t, and buy from them. Local dealers are generally small independent businesses and are caught in the crunch. If guns and ammo are too high, buy accessories.

2021-1956 = 65 years

65th root($200/$21.95)= 1.0345 -> 3% interest compounded annually

I expect 3% for MOST guns..... with some exceptions....6% for Colt revolvers, and 1% for Mossberg bolt action shotguns

Serious answer...Guns aren't that high. They've went up a lot in some cases. If I was somebody who had no guns, I could go arm myself with some decent home defense weapons and CCW ones at not too bad prices. That's a good thing. If you're an enthusiast, you should already have what you need. You may not have what you want, but such is life and the gun game has its ups and downs. Maybe this is a down and maybe it's the end. It remains to be seen.

A couple of weeks back, if I'd had no guns, I could've walked into BPS and bought a Ruger 9mm high-cap, a 10-22 and a Mossberg pump 12 Ga. for a thousand dollars. No assault rifle. No big game rifle in that little arsenal, but it could get the average urban dweller by. Most rural folks too. Dunno about the ammo thing, but that's a decent arsenal for a beginner to defend hearth and home with and themselves going to DG or Walmart or gassing up.

Thought about stopping in at the monthly San Antonio Gun Show on a whim today but seeing the 100+ yard line of folks waiting for it to open I decided to pass. Clearly its a seller's market, especially with everybody flush from their guv'mint money.

Most guns aren't expensive. Just bought a 9mm M&P for less than retail. It's ammo that's expensive.

People are paying crazy prices right now. Lots of guns are going for WAY over MSRP.......

LCRx 357, MSRP $669......one just sold for $1400 on gunbroker:

Sig cross rifles are selling for $400+ over MSRP....but they've bumped MSRP up lately.
