One of the guys at my church built an irrigation lake with one of those years ago. Took a while but it got the job done. Find a local fab shop and have some teeth made for the bucket and it will cut even better.

I have one bristoe it works ok better on loose soil than hard pack but between the garden hose and my tiller we moved a lot of dirt with it. They are made for under 40 hp tractors my Ihc 460 utility had enough power you had to be real careful of not tearing it up. Mb

I really appreciate the offer. But Iowa is a long drive.

You should put it up for sale. 8N enthusiasts will put some money in your pocket for an old implement like that.

I would look for a front end loader with a dirt bucket.

Yeah,...a front end loader would be best. But I don't want to sink my whole retirement savings into moving 6 yards of topsoil.

I moved 3 yards of topsoil around my place with a shovel and a wheelbarrow and I need to make use of about 4 or 5 more yards. This thing looks like it could make it much easier. Its can be mounted facing forward or backwards and it had a mechanical dump mechanism. I'm thinking about buying one if I can find it in stock around here.

Anybody ever used one?

Machine versus shovel and a wheelbarrow.

Come on man.............

Machine wins everytime!!!

We've got a pond on our place that was dug with mules and a slip.

200 pounds at a time will work just fine for me,......as long as I'm not doing multiple loads in a wheelbarrow.

I wonder what kind of trade in they'll give me on this wheelbarrow? I think I'm done with it.

It's down to a 3 point hitch dirt scoop or a knee replacement.

I don't even want to know what a knee replacement costs. I'd guess that I could buy a skid steer with a front loader on it for less,...not counting physio therapy,...which hurts like hell and makes me shart my britches,...

,...ask me how I know.

I looked and didn't see it.

It was in the 'out of area' section. Seems close to Lexington though.

Yeah,...it's close enough,...and I didn't really want to drop $500 on one. But $150 is just about what I want to have in the thing considering what I'm going to do with it.

I can get that much back out of it after I'm done.

I'll call tomorrow.

I’ve seen Amish use those with a team.

I don’t know what your property looks like, but, especially if you have leveling to do and/or a road to take care of, I’d seriously consider a box blade. I know you don’t think so, but talk to someone with considerable experience with one for an idea of just what they can do and how it might work for you. They’re an incredibly versatile tool.
