On the SW corner of slumlords place.
4 Toms S, SW, and W of me on others property's 100,s of yds away.
I'm just gonna sit my butt tight on this big ole feeder valley .
Can see lots of scratchings in the oak leaves on the ground.
So they are feeding on rotten acorns filled with maggots.
Aint even called a note yet.
Just gonna sit , shut up and watch.
Can see a long ways in here , the valley and both ridge lines
Something comes in, hit it with a cackle and some clucks.

A couple of clucks, a purr and scratch those leaves once in a while. Wish I was there. I have a lot of patience in the turkey woods that has accounted for a lot of birds. Good luck

Turkey for Easter dinner? Could be the start of a new tradition.

Best of luck.

good photos and storyline. You're already successful being in the woods, let us know if your gun goes off...

I shot a 24# w 13.5" beard and it had a bitter taste.
Big oak area.

Shot five other over the yrs at another place, all 21.5 w 10.5 beard, major oaks..... and they tasted fine.

Like reg turkey, just more of a chew factor
