I have three turret presses to choose from.
Reload .243 win, .44 mag, .219 wasp and .22 250.

Got a used Lyman T mag. A used Redding, unsure of what model, and a brand new RCBS 88901.

Prev had a little old Lyman Spar T that was orange and it was great.

Was thinking new Mag T but came across these in my dads garage. Dunno which one to run.

Run them all ??

I have an old A2 for a single, what I started w 40 plus yrs ago,
That and a turret and I don't need any more.

I would probably choose the RCBS because extra turrets should be more readily available. That way have turrets assigned to each cartridge and leave the dies set and just swap out turrets. I have multiple rifles in the same chambering but often have different die sets for each rifle, and in some cases have 5-6 dies for each rifle, so I have turrets assigned to that particular rifle.

Sell them and get a Forster Coax.

I guess I live in the prehistoric days, got a 45 year old RCBS Rockchucker. I bought a Redding turret press, didn’t like it, went back to the Rockchucker.

There are times I wonder if there is more movement in a turret

Than a rock chucker

Is there anything in a turret press that makes it less percise?

Or am I over thinking

I have to agree with you not the single stage RCBS. I have a Hornady Lock N load and had a 30 year old RCBS single stage a friend gave me. I liked the RCBS a lot better until it broke on me.

Boatboy, I've played with turret presses that dealer have had on display and have known a few people that owned them. I always wondered if the turret would wear out and get wobbly over time. Seemed like the weakest part of the press.

I've been using a 1960s Texan turret for most of my handgun cartridge loading for forty years. Still works very well and has outlived four progressive presses I really never needed and finally sold.

I kept the Lyman, and had to order a 9/32 ball bearing for the turret plate.
Put back together and its fine now (has new paintjob, looks spiffy).

Need to clean up the old RCBS A2 next.

Found a Bonanza 68 like new in box.
Goodness, like I need another freakin press
Am gonna have to sign up for gunshow and move some of this stuff
