In 2017 I decided to try my hand at building a Longrifle.
Didn't take long to start thinking I was in over my head.
I decided to let it rest awhile. Subsequently I developed serious medical issues, and the rifle has been sitting since.
I have no reasonable expectation of being able to resume working on it again.
I have a couple leads on builderswho could/would complete this project.
The stock is curly Ash, carved to the profile of a Southern Mountain Rifle. Barrel channel is inletted.
Barrel is a .36 Colerain swamped. No patchbox. The barrel has splotchy rust. Bore was packed in grease so its fine
Large Siler Delux flintlock. All hardware including trigger from TOW
I am only looking for a simple shooting rifle in the end. No adornments, no special style.
I'm trying to find pictures from my shop. I cannot visit there right now because of a TKR last week.
I'd really like to get the chance to shoot this rifle. I wanted a .36 since forever and I think this one will do nicely, but its hard coming!
