This small book (106 pages) was recently mentioned in a magazine I was reading and it sounded interesting enough to purchase. It has the author's (Dr. Stephen W. Templar) views on what guns would be necessary to take down a T. rex. Obviously it's going to be an elephant level or higher rifle.
The book goes into the anatomy of the T. rex and describes the bullets and energies likley to be necessary and there are several tables to help you make the decision as to which you might wish to rush out and buy when the next T. rex invasion occurs. The 243 Winchester is mentioned, as is the 30-06 (of course!) in the comparisons, but, alas, the 270 didn't make the list.
