We did a week-long mule ride in that area. We were scheduled for mid-may but the rona pushed it back to mid-June. It was a wonderful trip to Zion, Bryce, Butch Cassidy’s hideout, some other state parks. North rim of the GC was in the itinerary, but not doable because of the Mangum fire there.

Very dry and plenty of dust though. So dry the water was only wet on one side.

If you take the time it takes, it takes less time.

We were there with our 3 boys the same time as you. We camped a few miles outside Arches. I hadn't been there in over 20 years. We all loved it. We went to several arches and dead horse point. On the way home I asked my boys what their favorite part of the trip was and all three said "climbing on the rocks in camp".
