It's unusual to me, at least, though I'm no expert on older glass. This scope is on a rifle I recently purchased and it's not really my cup 'o tea.

I've never seen this reticle before. The elevation turret is exposed and has click adjustments. The windage is capped and feels like friction adjustment.

What is this thing and what's a fair price to ask for it?

Yeah, what EdM said. I had one years ago. The idea was to bracket a deer's body in the top two wires by moving the power ring, then read the yardage and adjusting the elevation accordingly. Naturally, it didn't work well.

I have a 3-9 Accurange without the two separate wires. It is a fourplex with the range indicated plastic post that rises and falls as you change the power wheel. They were common in the late 60s and early 70s. In hot climates the plastic range indicator bar could melt and bend, as in Viet Nam. Or leaving it in the sun on a hot day in the US. They were good scopes but I am not sure what they are bringing these days. Be Well, RZ.
