This week, Carl Bernosky shot an AR15 based match rifle to win the National Highpower Rifle Championship at Camp Perry. In ugly conditions which ultimately shortened the 4 day match, Bernosky fired a 1787-89X with David Tubb second at 1779-86X.
While the larger framed SR25 in 260 had won in the past with Tubb driving, what's significant is that Bernosky was shooting the smaller framed AR15 in 6mm HAGAR (Harrison And Goodling Auto Rifle)

The rifle was built by the John Holliger of White Oak Precision who is probably the hottest AR builder in the Highpower and Varmint world.
