Most of my hearing loss is due to firing loud firearms without wearing ear protection. If I could afford it and could find somebody that will sell me suppressors without me having a suppressor permit I would have a suppressor on almost every firearm I own.

WhereTF was the GOP congress the first two years of the Trump administration?
Supressors sould be an over the counter item now.
Same place the anti-gun liers have always been, sticking it to the serfs that elected them by doing nothing

Same place the anti-gun liers have always been, sticking it to the serfs that elected them by doing nothing THIS! You can buy suppressors OTC in many countries American shooters think have very repressive gun laws. I've traveled to hunt quite a bit, and suppressors are simply considered practical--and good manners if you're hunting near towns. SAnd you can usually buy them for less than the U.S. tax.

I've never bought one, just cannot stomach the price tag and the red tape. I think they're practical, but I just keep running earplugs.

The democrats are making hay while the sun is shining. They are going to do everything they can to keep themselves in power and control until someone cries uncle.
Outlaw suppressors, pack the courts, control the votes. They want to Californicate every thing and every body. Nansty nancy and cryin' chucky schumer want it all.

My hearing is pretty bad, I would buy one in heartbeat, I live in New Jersey and can't have one. I would like to know how many crimes have been committed with suppressed firearms?

They ban whatever they can get away with. They ban silencers, not because of their moral indignation over crimes. They commit crimes as a job requirement! They would ban gun owners if and when they can They would kill every last one if they thought it would have no risk and leave them with all of the weapons.
Am I right, or is this just another "conspiracy theory?"

They'll never give up the revenue from the $200 tax stamp. It's just political grand standing. No problem, they can just print money, which they are already doing!

The level of recoil reduction coupled loss of blast is so amazing. You will never want to shoot uncorked again.

Cost and hassle? Takes all of 5 minutes or so to do the paperwork. I've got boots that cost as much as my suppressors. If you can afford a couple of guns, you can afford a suppressor. Once you use one, you won't ever want to go back. I can't even remember the last time I shot one of my 22lr pistols or rifles that aren't threaded.

So what you think mass shooting, or a cop shot with a suppressed weapon within the week??? Come on we got to have a "coincidence" pop up to justify this bull.

For the Us Government, taxation is never really about revenue. It's about control. They are not the least bit worried about losing the tiny bit of revenue they get from the handful of people that buy silencers. Why would you need a suppressor? Unless you have a firearm ah might as well get their fingerprints too. Hmm another person for the list of undesirables. Hmmm.

Unfortunate that I dropped mine overboard when I was fishing.... Tell that to the bank when they cancel your account and call in your mortgage if you have one.
Imagine a corporate oligarchy so effective, so advanced and fine tuned that its citizens still call it a democracy.
