I simply can't believe this. I will be even more surprised if it actually sells at that price.

That stock had better been made from Marilyn Monroe's toilet seat to be worth that kind of money.

Let's test his veracity by you offering him $1150, as an experiment and to amuse we fellow Savages.

I offered $175. The little computer deally said I'd have a better chance if my offer was $846 and some change. LOL

He's a decimal place high. I wasn't going to say that, but it's what I was thinking. I would especially like to thank the guys that knew I was bidding on that 1916 Perch Belly stock set that let me have it. I owe you all a beer+. Thanks.

That’s just silly. It’ll be sitting there for a while. I just bought an entire, unfired 99 in 358 for less than that.

Here's a real deal now----I put the 99 buttstock in question on my 'watch list' on ebay or rather it's my wife's ebay site to see if and when and how much that nice lookin but over priced and expensive stock would sell for. My wife got a email from the seller today (guess they can monitor who's watching their wares) offering me a 16% discount of the wanted $1195. Advised it would be right at $1000 for my fast bid and he'd get it sent ASP. OK---nice lookin stock, but have no need unless I can sell it for more which I'm not going to get into the madness and hysteria of what guys are selling guns, ammo, components, etc for. My 99's and other guns were bought with TLC and alotta searchin--"ain't gonna" sell them to make a few bucks and then have to rebuy-not unless I'd get out of the firearms shootin and huntin activity and two chances of that--Slim and None'!!!!
I stocked up a nice nest egg of brass, powder, bullets, and primers long time ago when the child president obama was in office and added to it off and on and added a bit more this fall in case the dummycrats tried to cheat Bozo Joe and Jezebel Kameleea into office. Guess it happened, now hysteria is present. I did check the seller on that 99 buttstock and he mainly sells remote controlled cars and trucks, parts for them, controllers, and a few other odds and ends. Besides the buttstock believe I only saw only one other firearm related item. He possibly bought it at a sale, auction, etc and someone told him he could make a killing off of it from some Savage 99 shooter. Just passin on.

My how things are changing. That stock sold for just over $500 a month ago, I owned it for some 8-10 years and sold it to current seller.
