That was fuggin hilarious!!!
Had a dumbass HS buddy that had a pet bobcat. It was a mean sob. You had to wear welding gloves if you wanted to “pet” him.
Had another HS buddy that tried to release a young bobcat he caught in a leg hold trap. Quite the rodeo and didn’t end well for either of them.

Rabies is scary schit.
My 4 YO found a bat in the driveway a few months back. Kid has never met an animal or insect he doesnt try to fit in his pocket.
County Health Dept damn near lost the carcass when I brought it in for testing. Turned up a few days later in a town a long way from here and finally tested negative. About lost it on the lady I dropped it off with.
Glad they got it. I think I'd of gone in for inoculation even if they hadn't. By the time you have symptoms...it's too late. Ya gonna be dead in short order.

That was pretty funny.
Just an "educated guess".
Cat in carrier was coming into estrus.
The big cat was a Manx, not a bobcat.
Bob cats are normally very non social around people.
I've seen Manxes that look just like a small bobcat.
... body conformity, color and the trademark bobbed tail too.
Just one more guess to add to the speculation.
I'm also guessing that a bobcat attack like that is as rare as a Bigfoot sighting.

Bobcats are very elusive creatures. I live out in the woods and almost never see one. I wonder if that one has rabies. It wasn't a bobcat. I trapped them as a kid, and that was not a bobcat. It didn't bound like a bobcat and was shaped wrong. It was a housecat or a feral housecat.

Bobcats are everywhere. They very reclusive, and yes, for the most part nocturnal. If that was a bobcat, something was very, very wrong.

If it is a bobcat, and I had to speculate, my guess is that it is (was) a pet. I've had a lot of friends that have tried and it have never ended well.
