Looks to me like that officer is a pretty good shot. Not "spraying and praying" but keeping his eye on the front sight and putting at least one or two bullets into a running target at a fair distance ... although camera angles can sometimes be deceiving.

Tough shot at a moving target.
Everything looks like a textbook case of how to do everything right.
It looked like his windshield shattered from the attack.
He bailed and moved away off angle immediately.
Perfect response.
Bad guy won't be murdering any more.

i think that the suspect went to the Motor officers bike after the first exchange of gunfire to either try to steal the bike or grab the AR that was secured on it. Either way it was good to see tactics and skills work in the end. Very lucky.
