Does anyone know if the Leupold Alumina flip back objective lens cover fit on NXS 2.5-10x42? Leupold shows a 42mm objective cover but not sure if it has the same threads. I searched the internet but didn't find anything. The Vortex defender cap I have makes contact with the barrel.

Sounds like you need higher rings. The nightforce brand is actually Tenebraex and it threads into the objective. I believe it hangs down too though if your barrel gap is small won't work.

I have scope-cap clearance issues w/Kimber 84L and 2.5-10x42 NXS. I used the Tenebraex cap, cut out a notch for the bbl and ran a strip of electrical tape around. Might not be as "finished" as some folks want, but, it works. The Obj is covered and nothing contacts the bbl.

I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

I might have to try that also if the Leupold lens cap doesn't work.
