I bought on and have a tooley 6cm barrel in the works. 6cm is far more available these days. Darren - I'm still trying to wrap my mind around offering the 277 FURY rather the 6CM in the initial offering. They got an awful lot of things right on the Cross but that really sucks @ss.

I'm excited to learn how this one goes. And when the 6 Creedmoor (and maybe the 22 Creedmoor) will follow. The 22 CM would be wicked.

Dave has done a bunch of barrels for them. Have a Bud that made a wildcat on the 277 Fury in 6.5 that gets a bullet to 3700 fps with a 121 grain bullet. It uses the hybrid case with the lower part of the case is steel.

How about a 358 Winchester barrel? Be Well, RZ.

I'd be interested to hear how he's getting ahold of the 3 piece brass as well. Took my Sig out for a last range trip yesterday before I send it in. It really seems to like the Gold Dots, both with StaBall and RL16, the two targets on the far right were loads that I worked up for my Kimber run through the Sig... Not great, but I could kill a deer with them. I'd love to get more of the Gold Dots, I really doubt they live up to their advertised G1 BC of 0.571, but the line does have a reputation as decent hunting bullets, which is the purpose of this rifle. Edit: Realized it's hard to see any detail on the picture above, maybe this will show up better:

...and I feel a bit ridiculous about it. Got it for a stupid good deal (40% of retail) through a well connected friend in the hunting industry. God help me it’s chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor to make it worse. Haven’t shot it yet. Certainly is different. Let the mocking begin. Buying anything firearms related seems like a good move right now. Especially at 40% off! Sure does ride in a pack nice from seeing your last pic. Many years ago, I remember the local gun shop owner complaining about stainless rifles. More precisely, he was complaining about the contrast of putting a gloss black scope on them. He said the stainless thing was just a fad... The rifle world might all look like Sig Cross's in 20 years.

I'd like to try the Fury, either In 6.8mm or the 7mm wildcat that I know will be made immediately after the cases and dies and barrels become available. Here's kind of a bad picture of the .308 barrel, complete with the barrel extension that's headspaced with a nut. Main barrel nut not shown, but fits an AR armorer's wrench.

There's a lot of modern technology in that rifle. Once you get used to it, I suspect you will really like it. I look forward to your range report and pictures of dead game. Best of luck to you and your new rifle.

Do you have weights for the parts/pieces? A rough weight of everything sans barrel and a weight on the barrel would be great. I've been curious how things weigh out and wondering what a rebarrel could save weight wise if someone but a 22" mt rifle/ks contour on it.

#Suckaz For like $800? Jeez that's a lot of rifle for the dollar, I'd buy another at that price and follow the lead here re-barreling to 6 Creed, or maybe even .22 Creed. I meant to mention that the mag it comes with is a Magpul AICS mag with a customized Sig follower that has a built in feeding ramp type lip. The result is it single feeds loose rounds tossed in the ejection port perfectly, which is often an issue with AICS fed rifles. I wish I could buy just the follower for my other Magpul AICS, I really see no downside.

One of the bonuses of living less than an hour from the Sig Academy and having a good number of friends who retired to work for Sig is getting their toys bare!y used. I grabbed a Cross (yeah, .308.......I'm trying to keep some similarity in the safe) barely used for a great price. I haven't put it through its paces too much yet, but so far I'm liking it

Unfortunately no, I can weigh the rifle alone tonight before I pack it up. I didn't weigh the barrel alone, but it is a chunk, in this post Dave Tooley says the factory 18" 6.5 barrel is 3lb and he saved 7oz going to a lighter 6.5 barrel of the same length: https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/new-sig-cross.6973024/post-8886911
