Anyone had covid a second time? If so, how long after the first time was it?
Wife, myself, and two youngest had it in November. Wife and I are feeling rough this morning..... I was thinking sinus stuff from allergies when I went to bed last night but she's feeling it this morning.
Not really worried about it if it's no worse than last time but I have got stuff I need to get done and don't want to deal with being locked-down.....

How would you know? Sniffles are sniffles. Tests for a coronavirus could pop positive for any coronavirus and we wouldn't know any better.

Studies so far show immunity for 8 months which is as long as they have been able to study. Reasonable assumption is that immunity will last years but only time will tell.

:How would anyone truly know they had covid twice given the testing proto call. My understanding is the testing confirms your body is reacting to a covid like virus and not precisely THE covid virus. But then lets not let the actual data stop our fear.

They just started a study in the UK to purposely expose prior covid patients to test reinfection rates...

Unless they have fevers, could just be a ‘common cold’ or bad allergies.
We are covered in yellow pollen crap from seemingly every species of hardwood tree right now in my area.

There is no immunity, cure, or vaccination for a cold virus. Not even with Fauci-Gates-Trump fast tracking.
Just a fact boyz

How would you know? Sniffles are sniffles. Tests for a coronavirus could pop positive for any coronavirus and we wouldn't know any better. Just call it a second positive test and associated symptoms. I read immunity of 5 months, but nobody knows yet definitively... We're within a couple of days of 5 months right now. I'm sure it could be more or less time depending on someone's immune system. We're both around tons of people everyday and have kids in school so there's plenty of opportunity. Not really worried about it, just don't want to cancel a few things...but I also don't want to pass it on to someone like my parents again, I am worried about that.

As long as there is no cytokine response, just roll with it

If you have been vaccinated, its just the start of a slow roll until you're death.

I had it January of 2020 (didn't know it at the time but it was rough) according to my internist who had me double tested for antibodies in March. The thing that really gave it away though was me complaining (in January 2020) that I could not taste or smell anything. Was sick for about ten days.
I'm in my mid 60s.
Had it a second time in late July 2020 and that one almost got me. The fever was not as prolonged or as severe (still hit 102.5 but for not as many consecutive days) but the respiratory issues were a bitch. I still believe, and so does my wife, that had my internist not prescribed me (via teledoc) the HCQ and antibiotics I would have been in real trouble. I was probably 24-48 hours from being hospitalized.
I am an active, in shape, 60+ year old male living on a farm ... farming, chopping wood, riding horses, shooting,, reloading, fishing, working at the lake house, doing chores, going to the gym stuff ... and that second time put a hurtin' on me. It made me regroup and reassess things.
Took me a couple of months to fully regain my taste and smell senses after that second bout.
I have, so far at least, refused to get the vaccine and I will continue to do-so for awhile ... until I am comfortable that it is safe and effective.
What you think about, you do ... what you do, you become. In a nation where anything goes ... eventually, everything will. We're almost there.

The dr was surprised how hard it hit me. I had all the covid symptoms, fever, chills, loss of taste, pneumonia. I'm 49 and in shape, but I do have asthma. I did it all...zinc, D3, C, Ivermectin, Lysine.... still nailed me.

Sounds rough, yikes.
My whole immediate family is O positive; we've been spared any infections of COVID. We are pro vaccine at our house as well and my 17 year old will get her second shot next week, finishing the regimen for all of us.
