Brand new to this site/forum - hope I'm in the right place? I ran across 24 Hour Campfire while researching Ken Howell. Ken's son, Ben, has entrusted me with much of Ken's reloading equipment to sell. I've compiled an inventory of most of it and thought there may be members of this site that might be interested in Ken's gear. I think there are about 20 presses, several power/bullet scales, micrometers and calipers, etc. - and even one of Ken's books - "Designing and Forming Custom Cartridges for Rifles and Handguns" that was published in 1995 - almost 600 pages in length. It is a special signed and notated edition that was given to Homer S. Powley. I am guessing that the book was returned to Ken after Mr. Powley's death. It is labeled "Desk Copy". Pretty unique I would think. Anyway, if any of you would like to see what I have I'd be happy to email you the inventory list. I live in northwest New Mexico. Thanks and God bless! Better than a list would be some pictures.....no offense, but there's been some shady stuff going on recently.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

The pm limit is because he is a new member with 3 posts. Correspondence has to take place in the open or via email.

Thanks for all the comments. The system won't let me send a PM. Nothing shady going on here. The collection is decent sized - the list is seven pages long and I doubt posting the entire list here is appropriate. I've taken pictures of a lot of the items but not all. Happy to email the list and follow up with pictures. Not trying to step on anyone's toes here. Is there a way to be notified when someone replies to a post? Just curious. Take care - Mark

How much for the book? I spoke with Ken from time to time. In Ken's book, "Pet Loads" there's a Sako 218 Bee shown there. I am lucky enough to own that rifle. My email is info  shootersden.us if you need that. Tom Mc

The cheapest I found a signed copy going for was over $200. And the book I have was both Homer Powley's AND Ken's book so you won't find another one like it. I'm not wanting to make a killin' so I have it for sale for $175. Comes complete with a coffee stain! Mark
