Has anyone heard any new news with Remington restarting? Last I read, they were still tied up with the miner's union, and they were intending on trying to restart making 870 shotguns. I've heard nothing of any plans to make rifles again.

Ever had to stock Ducks with a 22lr rifle loaded for snake?
Alot of options for 870 clones on the market, Most are geared for TactiCool stuff though....

I have a buddy that lives up by Ilion, and says they brought back 200 employees initially and are hoping to be back in full production soon. Apparently they reached an agreement with the union. Some Remington news

It will be interesting to see how well the new 870s are received if/when they are manufactured again. 10+ million made over the last 70 years, you would think they have the process flow ironed out perfectly. What I wonder is how much "tribal knowledge" has been lost by losing long-time workers who knew all the tips and tricks. Time will tell I guess....

Meanwhile, back at the ranch,
I'm kinda curious to see what the new Rem. Co. produces & how well they do it.
Good gosh I don't need anymore guns so I'm not waiting with bated breath for a new 7.14 Whizbang mag or a shotgun that shoots the new 4" shells, but if they make a good showing on their comeback I'll be happy for them.
We can use all the AMERICAN manufacturing, & especially gun companies we can keep.
