Keep it closed for now. It's fun getting in and out of Costco in 10 minutes as opposed to waiting in line for 20 minutes behind 10 people buying 20 gallons of milk.

US State department has a travel advisory against travelling to Canada. Our vaccination rates are lower than the US and the Covid infection rate passed the US last week. Is it only a matter of time before the US closes the door to Canadians?

And Deflave, Trudeau is a weak leader. He loves Quebec and hates others. If he could block Canadians from entering Quebec, he would.

Keeping the border closed is one thing he will try to point to and say, "Look what I did to prevent Covid. I locked the Americans out." Plenty will buy it.

Seems every month Change.org has a petition started asking that the border closures be extended to protect Canadians from the American Vid.

I would be surprised if it happens this year. My wife is originally from Quebec, and her elderly parents are still there. She has been looking into getting permission to go to visit them, but it’s not looking like that will happen.
I’m finally in a place financially that I can swing an outfitted hunt to Saskatchewan, and I can’t get there. I’ll never take the vaccine, and I’ll almost guarantee that will be a requirement to gain entry once the border begins to open up.

The US needs to shut the northern border down completely both ways. Screw Canada, there's nothing up there that the US must have to survive.

They have been threatening inter Provincial travel as well. I wouldn't be planning on anything in Canada for the near future.

Canada has always been a stepchild of England. Used, abused, and highly influenced. Going independent would be a huge step forward for Canada, NZ and Australia.

Canada is only minutes away by boat......when the ass backwards s.o.b's changed there gun laws in the 90's I quit fishing, hunting and going there.....I'am a first generation American and will not even go to Canada to visit relatives....they want to keep Americans out I still will not have a problem with it......

This border crossing issue with Canada has to be costing them a lot as tourism is a major part of their income. Hunting and fishing are very big income raisers in Canada not to mention sales of motel rooms, gasoline, beer, and other consumables.

not really, commercial travel is not effected (we send a truck across the border weekly, no issues whatever), and the price of lumber in Canuckistan is just as high as it is here.
