I want to try handgun hunting for Whitetail Deer here in SW Missouri this fall. I have a like new Taurus 44 Mag Raging Bull that would be perfect for it, but I think I could do just as well, considering where I hunt, what I hunt and my advanced age, with a handgun a notch or two lower on the recoil scale.
My Raging Bull is Stainless and has the 8-3/8" long barrel. This model comes from the factory with ports at the top of the muzzle to mediate muzzle flip. Between that, its weight and its really nice grip, these are not bad to shoot, even for an old fart like me.
This revolver is super clean and doesn't look like it has even been shot much. My local firearms dealer traded one of his relatives out of it.
I have Truglo Tru-Tec Micro Sub-Compact Red Dot Sight, 3-MOA on this gun. I like it and could be talked into keeping it if the trader didn't want it.
Here is a list of handguns I would trade for:
357 Magnum revolver, double or single action. Blue or stainless OK with me. It must have a long barrel (7-1/2" or longer) and be able to have optics installed on it.
I would also look at trading for a Glock G40 Gen4 MOS Long Slide | 10mm Auto.
And I would take a T/C Encore Pro Hunter frame in on trade. I don't care what finish it has. I think I'd have Match Grade Machine make me a 15" long 350 Winchester Legend barrel if I went this way.
I have a mix (two brands) of about 50 rounds of 44 Mag hunting ammo I would offer to be part of the trade deal.
I would entertain other trades along the lines of what I've described above, so write me.
