Got a Thunderbird Long Range sling recently. Really like it. Light, looks good, functional, customizable, and hand made in the US.

Selling the Frankenstud Sling Keeper for the past 6 years I have had that question asked every week and sometimes daily.

Butler Creek Mountain sling is my favorite with Murray Leather 2nd and the Montana sling 3rd

Had a Safari Sling sitting in a box in my basement for....several? years.....tried it last Fall and last month for the NRL Hunter match in New Mexico and really liked it.

I make most of my slings from 1" nylon straps. I shoe goo them so they stay on the shoulders better. I form them into a CW sling of sorts as O'Conner described them.

On heavier rifles I use a Mountain sling.

For busting brush, I use a Safari sling.

Another vote for Safari (Boonie Packer) Sling,. One on every rifle almost. Move as needed.

Got several of them. Always reliable & simple.
