His pan looks to be a bicycle helmet.

Still great.

I would have been seriously impressed if it had been cast iron.

These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

I don't understand the differences in localities?
This goes on over and over in some places, and no one does anything.
Police, pissed off bystanders, local rabble rousers looking to fight
and pissed at the destruction of their town?

Have posted multiple times about our run in with the urban trouble makers.
Several hundred locals were around the courthouse.
Apparently unarmed bystanders,
mostly armed, handguns, shot guns, all kind of rifles.

Just a few hours after the threats were made.

They ones that really impressed me were the ones with pick and axe
handles. Mostly, they were the rougher guys. I figured if things went
sideways, a lot of the crowd was there for show.
But the axe handle crew, they were there
intending to crack heads. And likely would have.

Urban vs rural?
City folk figure it isn't really "their" stuff?
Figure someone should go do it?

Rural folk consider the town "theirs" if it is threatened.

Who can take a sunrise,
Sprinkle it with dew,
Cover it with chocolate and a miracle or two?
The Frying pan Man..
Oh, the Frying pan Man can!
The Frying pan Man can 'cause he mixes it with love
And makes the world taste good (makes the world taste good)

Had it actually been a cast-iron pan, 2nd recipient would've slumped to a heap.
