Recently I tried two newer powders in my 375 H&H, IMR 4451 and CFE223. Both gave better velocities than two generally accepted powders, R15 and Varget.

Has anyone tried some of the newer powders in the 9.3-62? Mule Deer gave the old cartridge a big boost with his higher pressure data. I am wondering if even more is possible.

You go first...LOL
Please share the loads you used in your .375 with those powders! Interested folks want to know.

I have just a little Varget and a whole lot of IMR4451. I could use some good dope.

Thanks,
Rex

I have two 9.3x62 Ruger's, one with a 24" and one a stainless 22" that was formally an '06.

From the 22" rifle shooting Hornady 286 Interlock bullets.

RL16 63.0 average 2,370 mv very low es.

IMR 4451 63.0 2,345 mv again, very low es.

CFE 223 64.0 2,425 mv very accurate

I didn't push it to max them out.

I used the 375 H&H load data provided online by Speer.
Speer seems to have the most data for newer powders in many cartridges.

Hodgdon updated their load data website recently, (a few weeks ago I think). I was checking 338-06 load data and was surprised to see StaBALL6.5 listed. The velocities for 210, 225 and 250 grain bullets were the highest listed for those bullet weights. I haven't tried that powder yet, but will when it's available. I'd be curious to see how that powder works in 9.3 x 62. Sorry, haven't helped with your request, but I'd keep my eyes open for any load data for your cartridge with this powder.

Ruger #1 with 22" barrel.
250 Accubond.
Worked up with 4166 to 59 grains at 2620 fps.

PP2000MR is pretty impressive in 35 Whelen. I'm pretty sure starting loads will interchange. Speer #15 has data. PPVarmint may also be good for lighter bullets but I've yet to find any.

Not really a new powder, and guessing im the only one shooting them, but RL-17 will easily power 320 grain Woodleighs to 2400 fps, both round nosed softs and solids, as well as the big Protected Point weldcore soft, 25" barreled 98 Mauser is a hammer with those loads, i already have a couple 338's, i want my 9.3-62 to be on the heels of a 375 H&H.
