A video clip of our snagging excursion back on April 3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Peyj-2EXtagMy boys set this outing up to help celebrate the one year anniversary of me being in the hospital for 6 weeks and missing out on all the spring things to do outdoors. In the video is my self, my buddy Mark from our college days and 2 of my 3 sons. A friend of one of my sons was there too along with the guide.

I got into some spoonbills years ago in the mouth of a ditch in the Black River.
Snagged a pile of them with a bass rod. Biggest I had to chase 1/4 mile down the river. Turned it loose but figure it was 25 to 30 pounds. Fun on a bass rod.
