I hated moths for years after seeing that as a little kid. Fuggin turn the light off in here, it's drawing moths. No need for a night light in my room.
The Mothman Prophecies was loosely based on real occurrences supposedly.

The only shows I watch are old Jimmy Swaggart tapes, from back before the Devil took him, and reruns of the Porter Wagoner Show when he was screwing Dolly.
Yep, Night of the Grizzly, 1976. I was 7-8. I had to look it up.
Nope. "Night of the Grizzly" was 1966.
"Grizzly" was 1976.
I remember it vividly because I was 6 years old in '76 and we watched Grizzly as a family in the basement of our new house. I held off going upstairs to use the bathroom because it was dark and I just knew that giant bear was up there. I finally couldn't hold it any longer and ran upstairs. Meanwhile, my oldest sister had snuck up and hid in the living room and came out of the dark roaring like a bear.
I was paralyzed with fear and pissed all over the floor of the dining room.

There sure are a lot of America haters that want to live here...
There are no scary movies if you know it's a movie. Not one.
However, there are many terrifying things going on in this country and around the world that should get people on their feet and doing something about it!
But the cowards just watch scary movies to take their minds off reality.
Booo........
Have you ever considered reading your own posts out loud? Perhaps then you would realize how really dull they are.

My cousin was reluctant to even swim in a swimming pool for years after seeing Jaws. When he'd come over to swim in our pool, you only had to shout "SHARK," and he's swim to the edge at top speed and jump out in terror. I guess I was about fourteen or fifteen and he was about twelve or thirteen at the time. It was hilarious.

Alien... Came out about the time I started predator hunting by my lonesome at night.
And you thought the Alien might come to the rabbit in distress call?
Yeah dumb fuqk exactly
The Alien isn't real.
It's fiction.
No chit genius, you ain't real... The desert out here is a freaky place at night and when you out there by your lonesome for long periods of time walking around with a flashlight looking for a downed animal your imagination can sometimes run a little wild that's all I'm saying GFY If no one told you you're a moron today let me be the first.
The Omen. I was not a kid when I saw it and went home and slept with a night light on.
This. I had to read 6 pages to find the obvious answer. If The Omen doesn't creep you out, then nothing will. You guys keep arguing about second place. Silver Bullet has some darn suspenseful parts as well. It's favorite of mine.
I had a move scare the heck out of me as a kid. Not sure off the title. It appeared to be depicted in the late 60s or early 70s. It was filmed in a city, and much of the focus was on a large clock. Creepy old guy would peek out the windows of a tall apartment building at the main actors as they left and approached the building. That damn movie kept me up at night for years.

I love Silver Bullet. That is one of my favorite comedies. Man, that wheel chair could scoot!

I never found Jaws to be overly scary, it's just a great movie because of the interaction between Quint, Hooper, and Brody.
The script, the directing, the musical theme, and the acting was just superb.
