I have one Britt that is 5 years old, and our other dog passed this spring.... so mine is kind of lonely.
I’m thinking a Lab as a duck / flusher would be a good combo...
So - what makes a good hunting pair with a Britt ?
Thoughts ?

I really want to shoot ducks too... so Lab is heavy on my mind.
My britt goes 50lbs and he’s a brut so he’ll just run over any dog of lesser size -now If I can find a lighter weight lab it would be about perfect.

Gotta be a good kennel in KS, NE, or SD with small labs I would think. Hoping to shoot a few more ducks this year myself.

How 'bout a Griff or GWP? Can hunt them for upland with the Brit and take them for waterfowl on their own.

Yes, combining a pointer with a pointer makes more sense.

Llewellin Setter. They are in the English Setter class, but they are bred to be smaller-so they are similar-sized as a Brittany. Females weigh in about 35-42 lbs. Beautiful dogs. Very mellow in the house, and alert outside. Beautiful Llewellin here. 4 month old female Llewellin SetterOr, just another Brittany. We have owned 3 Brittanys and one Llewellin Setter- all one at a time. We are dogless now, but I will be picking up a 9 week old Brittany/Setter mix this Thursday. Let the work begin.
