i bought this remington 700 ADL in stainless CHEAP yesterday for the action but after thinking about it ive never seen a stainless ADL in 7mm Weatherby Magnum it is real stainless not cerakote and appears all original to my untrained eyes except the stock is this a real ADL ? i know its not a 700 classic
To the best of my memory, which isn’t very good, Remington didn’t make a chambering. In Weatherby 7 mag.
i remember a 700 classic in 7mm weatherby this is a factory barrel and it appears correctly mated to the action from the factory, so maybe this one is a fluke? i just popped off a round with weatherby ammo with no issues except it thumps pretty good
it appears Remington did make a 700 stainless in 7mm Weatherby. but i dont think it was an ADL

S prefix is for stainless. Action. Don’t know anything about the rest. It may be a factory BDL dropped into an ADL stock. Wouldn’t be the first to be converted. Lol.

My mid 80’s 700 mountain rifle in 270 is S prefix too. But it’s blued.
I’ve got two of them. Factory Remington, one has been converted to BDL floor plate and in a HS precision stock. Both shoot 3/4 MOA or better with 140 gr TSX.
Adl or not that doesn’t look like a factory stock I’ve ever seen. I think in the early 2000’s they made a synthetic stock model I used to really want a 700 classic in 7mm weatherby mag Never found one sadly.

its not a factory stock its some weird thumbhole laminated queer boyds stock, main reason i got it cheap as in 325!
I've seen this ad. He's in my town. He's wrong on the year. I had a Classic 700 in 7 Wby. It was the 1991 Classic chambering.
And there will not be a Mid 80's Mountain Rifle with an S serial number. The MR was intro'd in 1986 with a B prefix.
