Not only a less than minimally educated person, but stupid and out of touch as well.
My Dad farmed with a 1945 M from 1947 to 1953. He had it tuned and new rings every year or two. Said if you kept it overhauled you could pull 3 -16s with a pony drill in 4th all day. Let it get worn and it was down to 3rd on the hills. Think the compression test was what told him if the overhaul was in store for that year.
