Went to one today, about 200 tables, 50% black guns, hats, T-shirts, various conspiracy theory nuts.
22 rimfire $12/50, 9mm buck a round, centerfire rifle $40-100/20, powder $60/lb, primers buck each.
Good crowd but nobody left with anything.
One guy had a bunch of nice Colts at only 300% of what i bought 2 for in the last month.

We had a gun show here a couple of weeks ago. I gave serious thought to renting a table and selling all of my excess guns, ammo, and reloading components. I think I could have been the most popular guy there for about one or two hours. I speculate that's what it would've ("would of" for the morons) taken for me to sell out, at a reasonable profit, while undercutting everybody else by a huge margin.

I did that very thing recently and it worked perfectly. Almost. I had a wad of cash big enough to buy friends, but blew it on a rifle I just had to have. One vendor had a custom shop 700 priced like a used standard BDL. He had lots of AR’s and Fudd guns weren’t his thing. It’s pretty and it seems to be a shooter. Oh, well.

Was at a local show looking for some Krag ammo for the sporterized Krag I’d just purchased, dude has a couple boxes on the table, only one has a price tag. Tag says $30, so I pick up two boxes, go to hand him 3 20s, and he says “Oh, that’s not $30, I’ll take $70 for that box.” I suggested that if he marked it $30, he should accept $30, and I’d just take the marked box and be in my way. He insisted on$70, so I wished him good luck and suggested he take the tag off. He said he’s sell it for $40, so I told him I wouldn’t buy it from him for $20, I prefer not to deal with the ethically challenged. Last I saw he was scratching at the tag.
