Jax is a high crime city, with lots of shootings, killings and rapes, This one though is in the high dollar part of town, involves white folks and is just plain evil. The reports out so far are sketchy, but I know people with more info, and what appears to have happened is that this girl was out with two young lads after 1 AM. One story says she and two boys were smoking dope, having sex, and there was an 'accident' at the pool, and she hit her head and died. Tragic.
But....where are the parents? Why is their 13 yr old daughter out at 1AM without their supervision? Sex, drugs at 13? Again, where are the parents? If the girl wasn't out, this likely doesn't happen.
This doesn't change the fact that the vermin who killed her, or disposed of her body, shouldn't be hunted down and eliminated.

Parents can do everything right, and sometimes kids make bad decisions, like sneaking out of the house late at night.
Parenting is a lot more difficult in some ways now with social media, texting, and chat groups. I'm of the firm opinion no kid needs a cell phone, and no unsupervised internet time. It's really hard to enforce with many school districts giving students tablets or Macbooks to take home and do their schoolwork on.
