Old engine builder I used for roundy round race cars also built funny car engines for Johnny Grays teams told me to run Delco filters. I ran 383’s. He said never run Fram.

I've heard from a reliable source that the Mariana Trench has secretly been the dumping spot for vehicles that have succumbed to engine failure due to the use of FRAM filters. A study has determined that at the current rate, the trench will be completely filled in within our lifetime.

It's natural to be cynical about that, but remember that Ford's warranties are backed up when Motorcraft and other recommended parts and consumables are used.
Nothing wrong with using the factory parts but they can't deny warranty claims because you used an aftermarket filter, it's federal law. They sure can if they can prove it was the cause of failure, as Cummins did on at least one occasion during the great Fram debacle. As I recall, the filter manufacturer ponied up for the engine replacement.

Last Monday I called Wix’s customer service number. I explained the problem, but since I didn’t have the filter date code, there was nothing they could do. This weekend i went up to Bedford again. Went to O’Rieleys where I usually go. Took my calipers along to measure a filter. 51372 measures .815, which is what the one I took off was. The guy behind the counter said that Wix has recalled bunch of filters, wasn’t sure which ones, so I’m guessing they caught up to the SNAFU. 7mm

I use them for everything. Except for some fuel filters.
DO NOT use them for the secondary fuel filter on the earlier cat unit injectors.
I am MAGA.
