Looking for a leupold or would consider another brand needs to have a 40mm objective possibly a 42. Would really like a Leupold long range 4.5 x14 x40 !!

You should be able to find a new, reliable Burris E1 4.5-14 for $200 or less. There’s a current thread on them in the Optics forum.

I have sent back for repairs 100's of Leupold's they just don't last long on the big bores as little as 8 rounds.....haven't owned a Burris in 25 years got tired sending them back for repairs.... Only scope that has last and never been back to be repaired is Nikon's.....still working on Trijicons they have taken 1000 of rounds of Big Bores and still working....
