So y’all are saying that NULA’s don’t follow SAMMI chamber specs?
Or are you saying Lapua sells brass that’s not made to SAMMI specs?
WOW , you are a tough crowd.......NULA's specs are fine but probably on the tighter side of SAMMI specs and they had their reamers made long before Lapua got into the ballgame. Remington, Winchester are at the small side of SAMMI specs and will fit in any chamber, Norma and Federal are slightly larger but will fit most chambers also............Lapua entered the game at MAX SAMMI specs and does not fit all

That’s true BSA, I’ve not had an issue with any brass except Lapua. The reason I bought the Lapua brass was availability, it’s all I can find and my supply of Winchester is about gone.

The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.
Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

A .308 Small Base Die will do it. I got mine from Redding. +1 Iffin I needed to size to a .22-250 to minimum, I would try each of my .30-06 head-sized sizing dies to see if one of them had a small enough ID take care of the problem. Michael

Or are you saying Lapua sells brass that’s not made to SAMMI specs? Lapua goes by CIP specs. They are from Europe after all. Yes Lapua brass is a bit bigger at the .200 line. I cant use their 06 brass in my minimum chamber 338-06. https://cip-bobp.org/enIt's doubtful that a small base die will fix anything except to make your wallet lighter. I would see if a stripped 45ACP carbide sizing die will do anything at the .200 line if you have one, but it may not as the 22-250 & the parent 250/3000 are a few thou smaller than regular .473 base brass... .4668" vs .470" per Lyman #50.

Dies are like rifle chambers. Each die even from the same manufacturer varies in specs. Problems arise when you have a max die with a minimum chamber. Try some of your friends dies. Hasbeen

Simple fix is Winchester or Remington brass, SIG brass is also great. I design my reamers specifically for Lapua brass when I want them to run without problems in my gun. Most gunsmiths do not know of this problem, and if they do, they ignore the problem. I provide my gunsmith with the proper reamer for my needs with Lapua brass. Same issues arise with Norma, RWS, and Hertenberger brass.
