I was looking at flights to fly back east this coming November and searched their website for available flights, I used the regular search function not using the comp fare then did another search using the compare fare. Without the comp fare the price was $925 for 2 people, with the comp fare it was $925 for 2 people. So, this comp fare is supposed to be a bonus for having the Alaska Airlines Visa but wtf are the savings? Might have to cancel this card and find something a little more customer friendly, I've had this card for probably 15 years and have used the comp fare numerous times over that time frame. Anyone else have this issue with them?

That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

Their website is the worst in the industry, but the companion fare is about the best. I suspect you can find a better price looking for one seat and then add the companion fare.

I tried that and it says to enter 2 travelers.

I assume you are using your browser in private mode.

Yeah, I found the issue, they no longer fly to where we need to go so Delta it is.

Hard to get to SD with Alaska Airlines, When you leave and fly back the rate changes depending on carrier and partner agreements found its cheaper to fly to inlaws in Nebraska and rent a car and drive. Plus you can make your schedule work.

We could fly into Beantown with Ak air and use the comp fare and then drive north but I hate driving out of that city so I'd rather pay more to fly where I need to be.
