Hi everyone. Just wanted to say I’m a Winchester 94 fan. I recently acquired an XTR 30-30 variant last week that I love. Wish I could afford a pre-64 but these days they’re fetching high prices. Used to own a 9422 yrs ago as well.
My question is, is there a Winchester 94 archive somewhere online that has a definitive list of every Winchester 94 ever released? I occasionally come across a 94 for sale that has high grade wood but without checkering on the forend or buttstock, or some other feature that makes it different from standard 94 releases. Thx

Long, long, ago anyone who wanted to upgrade their firearm could order off a menu of options, as much or as little as they wanted to pay for. There were also many non-cataloged configuration lunch pail guns put together and sold by employees to supplement their income.

IIRC, the Cody Firearms Museum is the holder of the Winchester Records. They are not public, but you can order a letter on any firearm from them.

GunGeek, is Correct, stating that Cody houses the Winchester Records, albeit, I'm pretty sure that you won't find any current records for the modern ,post 64, Rifle that you are inquiring about. That's why, I suggested for free, that you go to the WACA, site, and post the question, for free, and those fine Gentleman, will help you!
