Hello all, some time ago I posted on here about buying a .348 Winchester Model 71 rifle. I now want to cook up some cheap plinking loads for practice and have run into kind of an issue.
Since Hornady has discontinued their FTX and Interlock .348 bullets recently, I am limited to the Barnes bullets which are probably good for hunting, but a little expensive for target shooting.
Now I have two options as I see them: I could either get my hands on a mold and cast my own, something I've never done before and would, as I see it, require some investment into molds, melting pot and lubing press.
Or I could swage down cheap .35 caliber bullets. I got that idea from Leverguns 50 on YouTube and it seems pretty interesting, although he hasn't posted a video of the process. I searched a little on the internet and came across this company Corbin which specialises in DIY bullet making and has a bullet reducing die for sale.
Does anybody have any experience with these dies or, for that matter, other methods of reducing bullet diamters?
