“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1Corinthians 1:9)
If there is one being in the universe that can be described as being faithful, it is God. You can always count on the Lord to be faithful on every account. He is faithful to his word. If the Lord says something, you can count on it coming through on the money. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. How did he do it? According to his word!
God gives us faith to believe. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17) Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. (Hebrews 11:1) God gives you the faith to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of your soul. (Ephesians 2:8-9) God gives us the faith to walk with him day by day, and even moment by moment. Without faith, it is impossible to please him.
Yes, brothers and sisters, God is faithful, and not just when things are going the way you like them to go. Especially when things are not going the way you would like. Those are the times when we really need to call on him in faith --- when the wheels are about to fall off, GOD IS FAITHFUL!
God calls us into the fellowship of Jesus Christ our Lord. That is a real blessing because as God manifest in the flesh (1Tim 3:16) he was tempted in all points like we are yet without sin. He knows our every weakness and failure. Are you in dire straits? God in his faithfulness calls you into fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ. What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear. Great is thy faithfulness, O, God our Father.
Are you troubled? God is faithful. God is calling you into fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Are you perplexed and downtrodden? God is faithful and calling you into fellowship.
Are things going well? God is faithful.
