Anyone know which Chief? These premises insured by a Sheltie in Training ,--- and Cooey.o "May the Good Lord take a likin' to you"

Pancho1 Campfire Greenhorn P Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 75 Roswell, NM	If you ever get the chance, visit Geronimo's grave at the Ft. Sill Cemetery. It is quite a monument built by his people. Atop the monument is a large Mexican Eagle. I believe that Geronimo always claimed to be a Mexican citizen who was "sold out" by the Mexican Government with the Gadsen Purchase. I think the eagle is the Ft. Sill Apache way of giving a "finger" to the Americans who imprisioned him. There is still a large group of Ft. Sill Apache in the vicinity of Ft. Sill. Most are very prosperous farmers. A second group moved to Mescalero Apache reservation. Some of the Ft. Sill group have been buying land around Deming NM with dreams of opening a casino alongside I-10. Overall, the Ft. Sill Apache, and Geronimo especially, got a pretty raw deal from the American Government.
