I was on Citi Bank's website looking for information on opening an IRA savings account.... nothing....so I did the online chat thing and they gave me a number to call for information. The woman that answered my call had an accent I couldn't quite place. The conversation was tedious because of the background noise. I told I could not hear her very well and was that roosters crowing? She said it was and that she was working from home. I asked her where home was and she said the Philippines. She offered to email the information since I could not hear her because of the rooster racket.
I had chickens on the farm but I never talked to one on the phone until today.

Call Fidelity or go online and do it there. Alternatively, Schwab or Vanguard. Fidelity is a privately held company that hasn't caved to woke stockholders or the mob...yet.

I had chickens on the farm but I never talked to one on the phone until today. You weren't aware of outsourcing to the Philippines? There are literally tons of companies that outsource to the Philippines for customer service calls. And you have to fight those companies to get someone in the US.
