These Broncos sure do remind me of an International Harvester vehicle a friend of mine had when I was in high school. It was a tough son of a gun.

Ford seems pretty calculated in their marketing right now and I hope it pays off for them. They’re (barring massive recalls or similar) going to cut Tesla off at the knees with that pickup.. Flave that’s crazy talk don’t you know every truck needs to be a 350 dually super diesel no matter the application

Ford seems pretty calculated in their marketing right now and I hope it pays off for them. They’re (barring massive recalls or similar) going to cut Tesla off at the knees with that pickup. Mostly because Tesla is only profitable because of carbon credits. As Ford/Chevy/Toyota build their own EV fleets, they won't need to buy credits from Tesla to be ok for the Gov/EPA. That will put a serious hurt on Tesla's balance sheet and prospects for EV market share/domination.

Teal.. I don’t know about carbon credits and Tesla’s profitability or any of that, but I do know they are built right down the road from me and you can’t drive 5 miles without seeing 20 of them.
If nothing else they are popular and people love them

If nothing else they are popular and people love them I agree, not slagging Elon or the car itself. I rather think that if I wanted to, a Tesla makes a ton of sense for me, outside of deer season. I need more than they can offer occasionally. Just saying, sales of carbon credits is how they have the money and ability to do what they're doing. That runway only gets shorter as legacy car makers develop their own EV offerings.

Agree Teal.. I’m mostly laughing at the hordes here that insist because a truck can’t haul 15k lbs for 30 hours straight it’s a stupid concept that won’t take off and nobody will buy one
Some people have money. And they buy and drive WTF they want for WTF reason they want..
As evidenced by the legions of $100k electric cars around here that won’t do 600 miles in the snow or accomplish squat in the mud, but then again their owners don’t need them to.

Q4 2020, Tesla does 270mm net income. Sold 401mm in credits to get there.
Eventually that goes away and investors might continue to support Tesla like the did Amazon until it turned profitable or seem to be doing with Uber Freight but who knows.
Q1 2021, Tesla sold 518mm in credits.
Big part of why Michael Burry is short Tesla 800k shares for 500+ million.

And some people call Toyota’s trucks. Well, my Toyota brought two elk out of the mountains just fine, so it's truck enough for me. If I need more, I've got a 1/2 ton Chevy and access to a 1 ton any time I need it. The Bronco will find it's place in the mix as well. Regardless of whether the Bronco is something you want, people should at least be glad it's an American company designing and building a product here in the US. But, when push comes to shove and money talks, many here don't put their money where their mouth is. Support the US until it's time to spend money. You don't have to like it or buy it, but you should be glad it's another American made choice on the market.
Don't just be a survivor, be a competitor.

bronco drivers wearing a covid face masks. Climbing a southern mountain road at 35 mph ( an improved road with a very slight incline). impressive!! That's what I thought too. Not much of a 4x4 test. Except for the rocky part {those rocks didn't look that big to me} the rest could have easily been managed by an AWD crossover like a Rav-4. It wasn't a 4wd test! It was a chance to see them in person.

Gruffy is a traditionalist and not one to cotton to ideas about things that are better suited to carrying a women wearing Revlon mascara instead of a rig for doing man’s work. LOL 🦫 PS I have a Toyota Rock Warrior that I pretend is a real truck. 😜
