$’s dependent upon originality and condition and how bad someone wants the gun. As previously noted, chambering is a big plus.

My uneducated guess would be 5-10K. I passed on a 250 K last spring, it went a little over 3K. One of the enablers here offered to front me the money, or buy it and swap stuff for it. He knew the gun and said it was high condition. Should have listened to him.

There's always another gun, but that one was hard to watch go.

You guys don't like to hear the truth all you always have to rag about is how much over priced a gun is
as the lady said most of you would not pay a dollar to see a lady do a fan dance if you can't steal
it well you just rag about it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harumph. If an individual considers a commodity to be overpriced it's that individual's right (responsibility?) to bitch. Ability or inability to pay the price is totally immaterial.

...And yeah, it would depend on who's doing the fan dance - Marylin Monroe, of course. Phyllis Diller, not so much!

Good savage prices may be approaching the realm that winchester has held for years, marlins are climbing up also. either that or our cash has been severely de-valued !

Craziness! Yesterday I sold a pre 64 winchester mod 70 FWT in 243 for a nice profit(had 3 one needed to go). Could have sold another one at same profit margin(more than 100 bucks) Bought an unfired Remington Model 700 LTD 75th Ann SS fluted in 257 Roberts. I knew it was priced way low. Within 5 hours I had 2 Remington guys offering me 350 bucks more than I paid for it! Im going to let em sweat. Never would I believed Remingtons, Marlins and some Savages would be right up there with the old winchesters! A month ago I sold a reblued 99 F in 308. I paid 650 for it less than a year ago. I sold it for 850. Crazy times we are living in but its deffinately paying off to be a rifle loony.

There's always another gun, but that one was hard to watch go. Yeah that one was hard, but I don't cry over it, I was short at the time. Now, that 38-55 Short Rifle I passed on, I just can't shake the memory. I had over $3000 in my pocket and it sold for $1700. I passed because it had studs in it.

Marlins also went nuts at same auction. 200% of high estimate was the norm.
