Have a Swiss 96-11 training rifle with a perfect bore but the chamber (22 LR) has been messed with and cases bulge ahead of the rim and the extractor won't pull them out.
As the bbl is 31" long, wondering if there is any alternative to a full relining ?
Thoughts on who could fix it ?
Thanks.

Can it be set back? How is the barrel fitted?

If the bbl is set back would it screw with forearm in letting?
On the face of it, sounds like a liner is the way to go. Spitballing here.

At one time, some smiths would reline the chamber only. It would be doable, just would take some precision alignment and machining. I remember seeing an article in the 1960’s about using a portion of a Chevy high performance pushrod as a chamber liner.
