Anybody have a favorite that really kills crabgrass? I've tried one or two that don't really work well. Crabgrass is still there.
Anybody use the one called Roundup For Lawns?

Once the crabgrass is going, my experience is that you can't really stop it with anything short of Roundup/glyphosate. Its because of the way it germinates from seeds every year. Unlike your lawn grass which is perennial. Crabgrass is annual and sprouts from seeds left behind. So the seeds will keep sprouting and growing, even if you spray the grass which has grown.
You'll have to put on the preemerge to control it, in my experience. I put some on about 6 weeks ago, and will reapply now and that should keep a good handle on it. If you put on preemerge now, you will get some usefulness out of it, IMO. Pulling crabgrass works but its a hell of a lot of work. Still have to put down the preemerge. Lawns can be a battle.

Don't just take my word for it, but, granular Treflan keeps crabgrass from germination.

A timely application of Prodiamine 65 WDG before soil temps hit 53* followed up with Dimension 2e 2 months later.

depends on the type of grass as to what is safe
Down here, we use sethoxydim as a post emergent for crabgrass
Best way to control crabgrass is to use a premergent in the late winter/early spring. Crabgrass will start to germinate with just a few days in the mid 50s.

Soil temp around concrete will warm quicker than the center of the lawn so get your preemergent applied accordingly!
