did Murray make numerous mistakes or not, given with how he had to research for info.

I'm still under the impression he's honoring David's numbers for matching sets. I'm in for 2, #22 and #23.

Murray's books has numerous errors because he had to dig up all the information manually, and we've had 30+ years to refine our knowledge of 99's.

What Murray did was awesome, but we have much better information now.

And I'm sure we'll find mistakes in mine. I'll probably start an errata list here here of corrections so that folks can print it out and put it in their book.

When the errors get to be serious enough, I can update the book and release a 2nd edition easily.

Not always errors. Often it is thing we just didn't know at the time. Those finds are what keeps the Savage levers interesting for me.

An error, to me, is just an incorrect statement. So Murray's had them, David's has them, mine will have them. We just don't know everything now, and some of what we believe is wrong. Date ranges are something that will continue to be refined for years to come probably.

New knowledge just keeps cropping up. You reach a point where you just have to stop and get the damn thing published.

And that's the truth...

And then you'll feel like an idiot later when something you didn't know about becomes common knowledge and people talk about your book like, "He did the best he could with only the internet to work with" LOL

Just make sure you cover yourself with a foot note stating "Found it on the internet so it must be true."

I want the overseas distribution franchise. Could you do editions in German, French, Russian, and Italian too?

Still have a few things to get together, but uploaded the 95% that is done (well.. hopefully is done) and ordered a proof copy. Get it back as soon as possible to find out which pictures won't work and which pages might need to be redone.

Life is good. Now just have to wait..
