100 - 500 yards max.

For hunting only, but I need an accurate load out to 500 so there will be some load dev / dialing.

Night force NXS 2.5 10 x 42 Assuming this is enough mag. Been using VX3 4.5 - 14 x 40 shot out to 750 yards - target.

Leopold VX5 3.5 15 x 44

Zeiss Z4 4 - 16 x 44

Thinking illuminated reticle.

Assuming illuminated MOAR in NF.

Could be in timber or western canyon hunting.

Reliability key.

Thanks Hawg

Thanks Clark, I have Leupolds on a bunch of rifles ranging from 22 to 375, at least one Zeiss and a trijicon. Prob time to get a NF.

On that list I've only used the Leupold.. However, it's worked so well, I'm planning to scope the second rifle with the same scope.

I also have a Swarovski Z6 on my 7 mag... Works real well out to 600 yds.

Ended up purchasing a Swaro i5. 2.4-12x50 from our trusty sponsor. Will mount on Rem 700 / 7mm mag. Need to figure out mounting hardware now.

I'm a fan of the Leupold Backcountry rail and rings. Some don't like the tactical look though. What I can say is they offer a lot of mounting options so you easily get the rings in a good place on the tube and the scope objective in a good place for comfortable shooting. I also used these for my son's rifle to solve for needing to get the scope as far back as possible figuring he would go through some growing spells and not wanting to buy a short LOP stock...I've moved the scope forward twice now and after re-torquing to specs there was no change to point of impact.

If you're traveling, the mounts will let you bring a back-up and make a change if needed. You would need a small torque wrench but I don't see that as an issue.
